I realised that Maya was lacking a real time offset node that would allow you to tweak animation curves in the graph editor and seethe results at the same time. So not expressions that rely on run time of node that buffer. So I spoke to the amazing Alexander Savenko who wrote me a few lines of Python. This first version I have use for a lot of my tails rigs. I can give people a link if they would like to try this node out.
